Glue + HP Reverb = a powerful way to virtually collaborate

2019 is a big year for VR with several important new headsets coming out, and one we at Glue have been especially excited about is the new HP Reverb.

Well, we’re pleased to say that we’ll be partnering with HP to showcase Glue Excession release on the Reverb – starting with this week’s AWE USA.

HP has provided Glue with Reverb virtual reality headsets together with HP VR Backpack G2s, enabling us to take virtual collaborations on our platform to the next level. These devices are showcased together for the first time as the VR Backpack G2 was just announced few days ago.

The headsets are ultra-light, providing a smart fit and comfort. But the dramatic difference for us over first-generation VR is the clarity. The Reverb delivers a staggering 2160 x 2160 resolution per eye and a wider 114° field of view.

“The clarity is remarkable, it really is very sharp,” says Matti Pouhakka, Sales Director at Glue. “When you work with your colleagues and virtual tools in an environment rendered in this kind of resolution, you start to sense what’s possible with Glue.”

In developing the Reverb, HP worked closely with folks in areas ranging from product design and architecture, to training and healthcare – all applications of VR where Glue-powered virtual collaboration can make a difference.

“You can see that HP has carefully considered the needs of enterprise customers with the Reverb,” says Matti. “Its excellent visual quality and improved comfort for the wearer, especially during extended usage, makes it a great match for the virtual face-to-face collaborative experiences Glue enables.”

Alongside the HP Reverb, Glue meetings are accessible on a range of other VR/AR headsets, as well as on mobile, and desktop, giving customers flexibility when working together with others in their custom virtual environments.

The annual AWE USA event takes places in Santa Clara, CA, May 29-31, 2019. You’ll find Glue from Booth 734 in the Enterprise Pavilion.
